Fall Stitching Retreat 2026

The Fall Stitching Retreat is just around the corner.

This year, we’re heading back to Trepassey.

Dates:  October 2-4. Arrival and departure is based on your schedule but we have the Seniors Centre from early on the 2nd to 5:00 on Sunday.

The Social Centre is paid for by the Guild so no charge for the retreat. However….

Members are responsible for their own accommodations and meals. Share with a friend or luxuriate in your own room. Book at the Edge or Avalon <  https://www.edgeoftheavaloninn.com/ > or accommodation of your choice. When you book, please indicate you are part of the Guild.

You are also responsible for your own transport. Members have been known to carpool so check it out with friends (or even foes 😊).

A Saturday soup and sandwich luncheon to be served at the Social Centre. The cost will be announced when its determined. There will be Guild special menu options for each night, for those staying at Edge of Avalon, but you can also order directly from their regular menu. More details on menus and possible activities will come as the date gets closer.

Elizabeth will be taking names (in early October) for numbers, payment is not required until Friday 2nd Oct.

If anyone has an idea for a mini workshop or presentation, let Elizabeth know, especially if you are volunteering to teach it!!!

Coffee and tea are provided by the Guild but sweet treats, including cookies, breads, cakes, sweets, etc., are always welcome for nibbling during stitching times. PS….you can’t go wrong with chocolate.

If you want more information, contact Elizabeth Fewer at edfewer@bellaliant.net.

Gentle Reminder: this event is open to all guild members whose membership is current as of September 2026.

Note: In 2025, we had a small group of plus ones come along for Retreat (random, not planned). One simple rule was set… they had to play by themselves during the day, but joined us for meals or popped in for coffee and left again. If you want a plus one to join you, they are welcome if they abide by our wee “rule”.
