Monthly Projects

From September to May, the guild offers a monthly project to members which they can work on at meetings or at home. The program committee will plan these projects and prepare the kits which are sold at the monthly meetings. There is a modest feel for the kits, usually $5.00. Some recent projects have included blackwork, canvaswork, long and short.

Details for the monthly projects are found on the monthly meetings page.

Edge Days

A few times each month, we book the community room at Sobeys Community Room on Merrymeeting / Newtown Roads. Edge runs from 9:30 AM until 5 PM. Come for the whole day or a few hours to add some stitches to your UFO(s) or a SIP (stitching in progress). These are great opportunities to come stitch with friends and fellow enthusiasts. Stay all day, for a few hours or your lunch break; whatever works for you. All are welcome.

Dates are posted for six-week blocks. The remaining summer dates are:

  • July 9
  • July 26
  • August 9
  • August 20

Summer Challenge 2019

Codfish Template for Summer Challenge 2019

Join us as we create a stitch sample book. Each page of the book will have a different stitch done of the same picture of a cod fish. The fish is 5 inches long and about 3 inched high, so not an onerous task. We have listed as many different stitches or stitch styles as we could think of, but there are many more, if there is one not listed that you think you would prefer to do, by all means do proceed. When you have decided what you are going to do, email me with the details of your choice and I’ll add it to the list.
