Each month, from September till June, the guild holds a meeting on the last Tuesday of the month. We discuss:

  • Show and Share
  • Monthly Program
  • Refreshments
  • Directors’ Reports
  • Embellishments

September 2022

We are happy to announce that our next in-person guild meeting will be Tuesday, September 27 at 7:30PM at the Shrine Centre, 530 Topsail Road. Please remember to bring your own refreshments as recommended by current public health guidelines.

Directions: the Shrine Center is on Topsail Road but the entrance to the parking lot is actually on Ferryland Street East, so if you turn up Cowan Avenue, off Topsail Rd (at the MacDonald’s) Ferryland East is the first left-hand turn, and the entrance to the parking lot is the first-left again. Here are directions from the Village Shopping Centre, just eastward down Topsail Road.

September 2021

September 2020

Its been an interesting seven months since many of us were hunkered down in our bubbles to do our bit in preventing exposure to or spreading the Covid-19 virus. We are pleased to be able to reconvene our face-to-face meetings, albeit in reduced capacity.

Please find the minutes from our last meeting, 28 January 2020, for your review.

Also, the minutes from the last AGM, 28June2019, are also available here for your review.

June meeting

Our June meeting was the dinner at the Knight’s of Columbus hall. Gaetana Alio entertained us all with the stories of her mother, and showed us her mother’s embroideries from Sicily.

May 2019 : Annual General Meeting

Anne Rowlands gave a presentation on Samplers with an emphasis on NL samplers. Anne is the EAC Sampler Appointee. This well-received presentation was previously given at The Rooms, in St. John’s, NL and at the annual seminar which was held in Victoria, BC. Anyone who would like to enter a sampler into the national register are asked to contact Anne, who is the registrar for this collection.
